Growing up in China, floral prints are embedded into our daily lives. From floral paintings to vases, screen dividers to curtains, scarves to handkerchiefs, they can be seen everywhere you turn your eyes to. Most traditional Chinese female clothing have floral prints on them. I am always a big fan of bold colors and floral prints. I want to share with you a few different floral trends for this year.
1. Soft floral Prints:
Soft florals that are romantic, floating and printed on floaty materials such as chiffon and silk to emphasize the romantic and airy appeal of their softness. By adding some sexy splits, cutouts and deep necklines to the designs, it immediately draws attention to the pieces.
2. ’60s Floral Prints
The ‘60s had very distinct fashion notes that do not always carry through to other genres without losing their ‘60s signature. ’60s floral prints are characterized by dramatic colors and large buds. When it comes to picking a print, the key is to embrace the retro sentimentality, no matter how big, garish or curtain-like the print. In fact, just like grandma’s wallpapers and curtains, it’s a good thing to have a knee-jerk reaction to a retro flower pattern. If you could picture the bold floral as a cushion in an old-school living room, you’re on the right track.
3. Micro Florals
Micro florals are the petit and sweet spring 2018 prints designed for more feminine and fresh springtime wear. The micro floral print has been shown on sheer and semi sheer clothing.
